Martin Odegaard's strike against Wolves has been shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for December Vote for our skipper

Martin Odegaard's strike against Wolves has been shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for December, and your votes could help him win!

Our skipper finished off a fine passing move to ultimately clinch the three points against the Molineux side at the start of last month, and it has been chosen as one of eight efforts worthy of recognition by the division.

Martin's moment came in the 13th minute of the game at Emirates Stadium. Bukayo Saka probed down the right flank and fired a cross towards the back post, which was retrieved by Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The full-back instigated a one-touch passing move, playing a swift one-two with Gabriel Jesus before cutting the ball back to Martin 15 yards from goal, and he steered it first-time into the bottom corner of the static Jose Sa's net to stun the visiting defence and put us 2-0 ahead. There are seven other rivals for December's prize, with Liverpool duo Alexis Mac Allister and Wataro Endo's goals against Fulham included, while Brighton & Hove Albion also have two nominees in Danny Welbeck's header against Crystal Palace as well as Purvis Estupinan's rocket against Tottenham Hotspur.

James McAtee's looping strike that saw Sheffield United beat Brentford has also been given a nod, as have Harry Wilson's blast to help Fulham thrash West Ham United, and Cole Palmer's cool solo strike in Chelsea's victory at Luton Town.

Supporters' votes are combined with a panel's judgment to determine the winner, and you can vote for Martin now until Monday, January 8 to help him scoop the prize.
