Arsenal is currently facing the task of acquiring a priority center-forward in the January transfer window, which will require them to spend an additional sum of money.

 Manager Mikel Arteta is keen on strengthening the squad, particularly in the attacking department, as the team has struggled to score goals this season compared to the previous campaign. 


Last season, Arsenal impressed with a record-breаking 88 goals in the Premier League, but this time around, their attacking players have been misfiring, and the addition of Kai Havertz has received mixed reviews from fans due to his lack of clinical finishing.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal has set their sights on Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.


 The Dutch striker, who previously played for Bayern Munich, has attracted interest from the club. To secure Zirkzee’s services, Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu Gaspar, is reportedly willing to pay a premium.

 However, negotiations could be complicated by Bayern Munich’s buyback option, which is valued at around £35 million. Bologna is said to be demanding £50 million for Zirkzee’s transfer.

Considering Arsenal’s financial situation, it is believed that they may need to sell Eddie Nketiah, who is valued at £30 million, to balance the books and generate funds for the potential acquisition of Zirkzee. 

Crystal Palace has emerged as a potential destination for Nketiah, and his sale could help Arsenal meet their financial requirements while adhering to the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability regulations.
